A Little History
Dr. Jeffrey Dressel's great-grandfather founded the practice on Dekalb Avenue in 1923.
In 1944, he moved the office to the corner of Columbia and Union Streets, near the Brooklyn Waterfront. In 1967 the practice was moved to 2nd Place, in the Caroll Gardens section of Brooklyn, where it still resides today.
The current practice has two Dentists, three Hygienists, a Periodontist, and an Endodontist. There are two full-time Office Managers to help you.

Oral Examinations
Dental Fillings
A dental filling is a very common procedure. Tooth decay is removed and replaced with tooth-colored composite. We have not used silver amalgam at South Brooklyn Dentist since the 1990’s.
Crowns & Bridges
When a tooth has been lost a bridge may be used to fill the space. In some cases a bridge can be an alternative to an implant. Dr. Dressel will advise and inform the patient so that he or she can make the best decision about how to replace lost teeth.

Periodontics
Patients who require gum treatment or a dental implant will quickly discover that Dr. Podolsky is a highly skilled clinician who provides top-notch care with a warm and compassionate chair-side manner. Dr. Podolsky is a Board-Certified Periodontist.
Dental Implants
Dental implants are used to replace un-restorable or previously lost teeth. The surgical aspects of an implant case are handled by Dr. Podolsky. When healing is complete, Dr. Dressel will restore the implant using CAD/CAM technology to create a custom titanium abutment, and a milled ceramic crown.
Endodontics
Patients who require root canal therapy will find that Dr. Kerpel is a confident and caring clinician who provides excellent, painless care, often in one visit. Dr. Kerpel is a Board-Eligible Endodontist.
Scheduling & Insurance Management
We have three full-time employees that help manage the office every day and provide a seamless experience for our patience and the dental staff.
